Knowledge Institute 101 set for Jan. 23-25 in New Orleans

Knowledge Institute 101 engages those new to the health care industry through an entry-level training program, taught from a carrier-neutral perspective. This course is ideal for those just staring in managed care or making a career transition from property and casualty background. A three-day classroom training session maximizes awareness of key Managed Care principles,including::
- Health Care Legislative Review
- Health Care Cost Drivers
- Consumer-Driven Health Care
- Pharmacy Overview
- Underwriting (Basic and Fully Insured)
- Network Contracting Strategies
- Utilization Management
Training Dates: Jan. 22-26, 2018
- Travel day: January 22
- Classroom Training Dates: January 23-25

Who Should Attend: Knowledge Institute 101 is available on a first come, first served basis. A typical attendee profile is someone that is entry-level with limited industry knowledge. You are not required to hold an insurance license but it is required to participate in CE credits*, ranging from 12-30 state approved credit hours.
Continuing Education Credits*
This course offers Continuing Education (CE) credits. Credit amounts vary by state, but generally run between 6-12 credit hours. In order to file credits with your respective Department of Insurance, we require the following informational during registration process:
- Name your license is filed under
- License number
- Email address
You are not required to hold an insurance license but it is required to participate in CE credits*, ranging from 12-30 state approved credit hours.
Cost: Travel plus hotel expense the agency’s responsibility. All other program-related expenses will be covered by UnitedHealthcare.
