Vision Network Adds Warby Parker
October 11, 2017
UnitedHealthcare Vision members enrolled in UnitedHealthcare employer-sponsored and individual vision plans can access Warby Parker’s fashionable prescription eyewear for little or no out-of-pocket cost, online or at any of the more than 50 stores nationwide, beginning in 2018.1 This marks the first time Warby Parker is accepting vision insurance, and will enable millions of UnitedHealthcare Vision members to purchase prescription eyewear for only their copay.
As people now enter the open enrollment season for 2018 health benefits, this new relationship will help meet the eye-care needs for UnitedHealthcare Vision members nationwide.
Note that most Warby Parker locations do not provide vision exams. In many cases, UnitedHealthcare Vision members will need to see a separate in-network eye care provider to obtain an updated prescription before going to a Warby Parker location or warbyparker.com to get eyewear.
