New BRMS Billing System Migration Launched
August 11, 2017
The Billing and Receivable Management Solution (BRMS) is a single-enterprise billing system that enables UnitedHealthcare to provide an improved and simplified billing experience for 100+ groups and most small business customers.
BRMS grants customers access to their billing information through UnitedHealthcare’s employer website, Employer eServices® at employereservices.com. Through the website, BRMS customers can view/download their invoices, pay bills online, perform eligibility transactions and request ID cards. If you currently have access to Employer eServices to handle your customer’s billing you will maintain this access.
Migrating customers will receive a pre-migration letter prior to the actual migration activity. Once migrated, customers will also receive a post-migration letter, along with their revamped, user-friendly BRMS invoice and accompanying invoice guide. Please note that if you are listed as a contact for your customer’s billing, you will receive the same notices your customer receives regarding migration.
The BRMS launch has multiple releases:
- The first release included a successful launch of BRMS to all new small business and 100+ customers in March 2016.
- The BRMS second release, which included the migration of existing small business and 100+ customers to BRMS, began with a pilot in late April 2017.
- Currently, there are 846 existing small business and 100+ customers that successfully migrated to BRMS. Additional migration waves will occur between July 21 and Oct. 31, 2017. These additional migration waves will move the full small business block of 100K+ customers, accounting for more than 2 million members.
New business customers, including customers that that do not make premium payments online or via automatic withdrawal, should be using the BRMS lockbox addresses below.
