Transitional Relief Offer Announced for 2017 Renewal Customers
February 2, 2017
The following Transitional Relief notice applies to: Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin.
UnitedHealthcare is making changes to our renewal offerings for existing Transitional Relief customers in the event Transitional Relief is extended. Starting with the Jan. 15 Transitional Relief renewal customers, UnitedHealthcare will offer Transitional Relief renewal options along with Affordable Care Act (ACA)-compliant alternates:
- For Jan. 15 – March 15 renewal customers: Renewal account executives can provide renewal exhibits, including the current Transitional Relief plan(s).
- Beginning with April 1 renewal customers: Transitional Relief offers will be included in the renewal packages for small business, Neighborhood Health Partnership, River Valley/Heritage and All Savers® fully insured business.
This will be a 12-month Transitional Relief renewal quote (rates and benefits). Our ability to offer these rates and benefits for the entire 12-month contract term is contingent on Transitional Relief being extended beyond Dec. 31, 2017.
If Transitional Relief is not extended, this contract will terminate Dec. 31, 2017, and we will offer you an adjusted community rate (ACR) at that time. If your client would prefer to move forward without this contingency, they may select an ACA-compliant product at their 2017 renewal. These options may not be available in all states.
These options may not be available in all states. For more information, please contact your Renewal Account Executive.
